Second Vice District Governor


Rhett Hair

Lion Rhett along with his wife Lion Melody Joined Blythewood Lions Club in 2007.  Lion Rhett was on the Club Board of directors.  Club President  for 3 years. He has received the 100% Club President Award and Club Excellence Award.  Blythewood Lion of the year 2013.

Lion Rhett has held the position of Zone Chair, Region Chair and SC State Lions Foundation Board of Directors.  He was the MD 32D GLT.  He is a Franklin Mason Fellow.  He has received a District Governor’s Outstanding Service Medal 2013, and SC MD32 Lion of the Year 2014.

 Lion Rhett has received a Lions International Club Extension Award, Melvin Jones Fellowship, Advanced Membership Key, Senior Lions Leadership Institute Graduate.  He also has attended the Tennessee Lions Leadership Retreat and the Lions Area 1E Presenters Workshop.  He is a Presenter at the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum. He has been awarded the   International President’s Leadership Medal.

 In addition to his Lion activities, Lion Rhett is a retired U. S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, serving over 20 years active service. He now works as a Lieutenant Paramedic for Fairfield County, and is a field training officer. He is a CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor.

 Lion Rhett is also very active in his church, Beulah United Methodist Church in Blythewood, where he serves as an usher, is Chairman of the Evangelism Committee, and is a member of the Finance Committee. He also supervises ramp building as part of the UMM ministry of Ramp building for the elderly or affirmed who need access via ramps into their homes.

Lion Rhett is married to Lion Melody who is also a Retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer.  They Have 3 Children and 6 Grandchildren.  They Enjoy Lions together!
